Metatron's Cube is a sacred geometric figure derived from the Fruit of Life — thirteen circles taken from the Flower of Life. By connecting the centres of all thirteen circles with straight lines, a complex figure emerges that contains within it all five Platonic solids: the tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron. Named after the archangel Metatron, this figure is considered a map of creation itself, encoding the fundamental forms from which all matter is built.
Begin by constructing the Seed of Life: draw a central circle and six equally-spaced circles of the same radius with their centres on the circumference of the first circle. Mark all seven centres clearly.
Extend the pattern outward by drawing six more circles from the outermost intersection points of the Seed of Life, using the same radius. Place each new circle so its centre falls on the petal tip where two outer seed circles meet.
You now have thirteen circles total — the central one, the six of the Seed, and six more in the outer ring. These thirteen circles form the Fruit of Life. Mark all thirteen centres as bold points.
Using your straightedge, draw a line from the central point to every one of the twelve surrounding circle centres. These twelve radial lines form the first layer of connections.
Now connect every outer circle centre to every other outer circle centre. Draw lines between all pairs of the six inner ring centres (the Seed of Life ring), forming a hexagram.
Continue connecting: draw lines from every outer ring centre to every inner ring centre and to every other outer ring centre. Every one of the thirteen points must be connected to every other point by a straight line.
The resulting web of 78 lines forms Metatron's Cube. Within this figure you can now identify the outlines of all five Platonic solids. Trace the cube (hexahedron) by finding the appropriate set of eight vertices and twelve edges within the figure.
Finally, draw a containing circle centred on the origin that passes through the outermost circle centres. Metatron's Cube is complete — the blueprint of three-dimensional reality encoded in a two-dimensional figure.
